Story behind the Brand
SILVER KNOT is a unique handcrafted, designer silver jewellery brand inspired by rich Indian heritage and traditional Florentine techniques. We create each intricately designed piece from scratch to finish as per your order. Each collection is designed and handcrafted to bring out a unique yet mesmerising array of artsy masterpieces that are sure to make heads turn.
SILVER KNOT handcrafted jewellery is brainchild of a young Indian jewellery designer and silversmith, Shreeya Kulkarni. It was her dream to create a brand that allowed her to showcase her creativity and passion for intricate handcrafted silver jewellery to the world. Each piece of jewellery is designed and made by Shreeya using traditional as well as international jewellery making techniques.
The name silver knot stands for the strong bond that we try to form with our customers through our unique handcrafted silver jewellery.
As a brand we stand by the skills and efforts that go behind making each handcrafted creation as a piece of wearable art. The best part about owning handcrafted jewellery is that no two pieces of the same design are 100% alike.
We at silver knot strongly believe that consumer satisfaction is our top most priority. Building good customer relations is crucial and we try to personalise the customer experience as much as possible keeping them in the loop all through the creative process.

Born in Pune, India, Shreeya was always a creative and experimental child. She enjoyed destroying her clothes and jewellery and recreating them for her dolls. She spent few years of her childhood in Dubai, a city of gold.
She holds a bachelor degree in jewellery designing from NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY, Gandhinagar, India and has completed an intensive jewellery making course from Alchimia contemporary jewellery school, Florence, Italy.
She has worked with some of the biggest jewellery brands in India like Tanishq targeting mass markets and BGJ targeting high-end niche markets. This allowed her to learn about the current market situations. As part of the design team under BGJ, she was a part of 6 jewellery shows in India where she would interact with client one on one and understanding buying patterns and consumer preferences.
Realising the importance of being able to translate her imagination from paper to a wearable product was crucial. She decided to take a course of Rhinoceros for creating 3 dimensional jewellery on software and later realised that making it by hand from scratch helped connect with her designs on a deeper level and bring out the best in them.
Enriched with a jewellery designing experience, she decided to create the jewellery that she designed which took her to study silver smithing in Florence, a city that has historically been known for its art and craftsmanship. This was a turning point in Shreeya’s life when she realised her potential of being able to express and create breath taking work of art in the form of jewellery.
With the help of great mentors she learned not only traditional Italian Jewellery making but also Japanese techniques such as Nunome zogan(texture inlay), Korean metal crafts such as Keum-Boo, Cuttlefish casting, sand casting and Florentine hand engraving. Florence has not only given the world big luxury brands, the city in itself has been an inspiration due to its wealth of art and architecture.
Shreeya constantly thinks outside the box, her creations are elegant, new, expressive, exciting and artsy. She uses her jewellery as a medium to translate stories, emotions and vision.
